Clarify toggle between Dynamic and Public Access Route
As user
I want to get a URI
so that I can access my serviceIf a service is running in a VPC and public access is allowed, the Connection Information for an Aiven service shows a row labeled "Access Route" with options "Dynamic" and "Public". As a new user, I thought this was for making a configuration setting change, so I was afraid to select Public. I think the use of the term "Dynamic" also threw me off. I didn't see anything in the docs and there's no help text in the UI to inform the user on what…

Support Homebrew installation for Aiven CLI
According to Homebrew github repo and webpage (https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/aiven-client#default) Aiven Client is available at its newest version but there is no mention of homebrew in Aiven docs as a supported mean of installation; the questions is if Homebrew installation for aiven cli is officially supported by Aiven ? if yes, the information needs to be added in the documents

U2F support
As an Aiven user, I would like to be able to enable 2FA with U2F tokens such as a Yubikey or a Titan Security Key. This is more convenient to use and more secure than the TOTP token option currently offered.

Passkey support
As an Aiven user, I would like to be able to authenticate to the platform with passkeys (i.e. webauthn). This is more convenient and secure than a password. Ideally, I would be able to remove password authentication from my account if I enable or sign up with a passkey.

Allow multiple 2FA devices
As a user with multiple devices, I would like to be able to add additional 2FA devices to my authentication profile. Currently, if I want to add a new device, I have to disable 2FA, and then enable it again on every device with the new token key, and re-issue my tokens.

Restrict user sign-in domains to my verified domains
As an Aiven customer with a verified domain, I would like the option to restrict the list of domain names in the email addresses users can use to sign into my account. Particularly, I'd like to prevent users from domains I don't control from being invited to my account. Ideally, I could specify a list of allowed email domains, or at least restrict sign-in to my verified domains. Users with email addresses with domain names not in the list should be denied access.

2FA Recovery Codes
As an Aiven user depending on platform authentication and using 2FA to improve account security, I would prefer to be able to reset 2FA by the use of recovery codes; simultaneously, I would prefer that resetting my password via email password reset not clear my 2FA settings.

Self-service move to marketplace billing
As an existing Aiven customer
I want to pay via a marketplace subscription
so that I can recognise spend against my hyperscaler commitment and simplify my procurement processes
In addition, this is currently a manual process and involves coordinating steps between the customer, Aiven Sales team, and Aiven Ops team. I would like to self-serve this capability.2 votesWe are working on making the Marketplaces payment methods in the Aiven tenant rather than being separate tenants!

Web Console w/ Service connectivity
As developer,
I would like to access a web console that would provide audited access to services, such as a psql shell, and be able to run PostgreSQL commands. For example, we'd like to interact with the database to resolve the following error without needing psql installed locally or network connectivity from our laptop. https://docs.aiven.io/docs/products/kafka/kafka-connect/howto/debezium-source-connector-pg#solve-the-error-must-be-superuser-to-create-for-all-tables-publication
In addition, this would be especially useful for services which have been secured, like custom PCI-DSS environments.

Aiven service tags as rsyslog variables
As a developer, I would like to be able to use tags created on Aiven services in rsyslog integrations. This would allow organizing services data based on these tags in the logs or metrics integrations.

Support more cloud providers
As an Aiven customer in Europe
I want to be able to use European cloud providers
so that I can be certain that using the cloud provider is following the rules of the GDPR.
In addition, I would like the ability to choose from multiple European providers, so that I have a choice of where to bring my business.2 votes -
Disable Datadog integration on slave

Service user limit value from the API
As an System Architect, I want to get the service user limit value from the API
so that I can monitor this value and compare it to the number of users created for each service.
This functionality will help us to ensure healthy CI/CD pipelines so that they don't unexpected get stuck on a user limit.
The User Limit value could either in the API be bound on a project level or be populated as a value in the API available for each service.
At the time of writing the user limit for a project is by default set to…2 votes -
FedRAMP-like compliance for Healthcare industry
Company needs FedRAMP compliance as part of CMS federal regulations. Under this regulation, only US domiciled personnel may access or control managed services.
2 votesLikely this will merge in with something like FedRAMP based on that getting serious attention. I do not expect Aiven to do this anytime soon, but that can change with the right sponsoring agency.

More logs during service fork
We want to have more info to know when a forked service is up and running.
ex. when testing backup restore, we face some difficulties as not everything is located in a single place (event logs & service logs).
There is no indication as to when the service is/was ready.
In the logs, it would be useful to have the different stages: provisioning, restore backup, wal, ready2 votes -
Apply Aiven configuration and service updates during scheduled maintenance windows
As a customer, I want the ability to designate non-urgent configuration and service updates to be implemented only during scheduled maintenance windows, so I can limit the risk of updates running outside of these windows, and impacting the availability of production systems.
