  2. As an Aiven user,
    I want to ease the setup of my multi-region infrastructure by creating a single VPC peering for several regions
    so that I can avoid creating a several peerings when I'm deploying multi-region services.
    This would also solve the VPC quota issue that we can encounter on GCP (25 peerings max per VPC)

  3. As an Organization administrator
    I want to be able to create and define my own roles
    so that I can specify as granular as possible what users with that roles can or can not do.

    For example:
    - I want to create a new role dedicated to manage and view only billing related information which is used for members of the finance department.
    - I want to create a new role dedicated to manage users and groups which is used by members of the IT department.

As a cloud engineer, I want to be able to specify the Aiven plan to my specifications, including the specific instance type, sizing, and other aspects relevant to the cloud I am running on so that I can optimize my spend and commitments with the cloud provider In addition, to meeting commitments I have made to the cloud provider.

    Ideally, turnaround would be much faster than today, where I typically wait 1 week or more to get a custom plan implemented.

  6. As an IT Administrator I want to automate the on and off-boarding of users and manage their lifecycle in Azure AD.

    SCIM allows an IT Administrator to provision users and groups automatically to Aiven and keeps them in sync with the identity provider.

  7. As a developer or service administrator
    I want to be able to rename Aiven services after creation
    so that I can recover from typos or adjust the service name when the purpose of the service changes.

    In addition, renaming services would be useful to in during the disaster recovery process where a service is forked from a backup. Once the service is restored, I would like to rename the forked service to what it previously was in production.

  8. As a database administrator
    I want to be able to adjust my backup retention time
    so that I can meet my data retention and/or compliance requirements.

  18. As an Aiven Administrator
    I want to have an automated way to know when a user's ssl certificates enter their expiration grace period (last 3 months)
    so that I can update the values stored in, say, AWS SecretsManager
    A simple method would be to provide an api that shows the expiration dates for each user (as per the data file available to the Console) so that I could poll once per month, say, and update any certificates in the grace period and use the current acknowledgement api to complete the task.

  19. As DevOps user
    I want to locate logs for a specific time in the past on the Aiven console
    so that I can investigate past issues in the logs in a reasonable amount of time.
    In addition, while the logs are made available in the console, there is no mechanism to filter them in any way. Scrolling back through the logs to get to something that I need from 3 days ago makes the function essentially unusable.

  20. As an API developer I need to understand the error codes and details of the API so that I can integrate and handle errors thrown by the API elegantly.

    The gaps are most notably:
    * HTTP status codes explanation
    * lack of standardized error codes (example: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/API/ErrorResponses.html)
    * very little or no explanation (example: https://api.aiven.io/doc/#tag/Service/operation/ListProjectServiceTypes)
