Self-service Custom Plans
As a cloud engineer, I want to be able to specify the Aiven plan to my specifications, including the specific instance type, sizing, and other aspects relevant to the cloud I am running on so that I can optimize my spend and commitments with the cloud provider In addition, to meeting commitments I have made to the cloud provider.
Ideally, turnaround would be much faster than today, where I typically wait 1 week or more to get a custom plan implemented.
Backlog is being re-prioritized

Goal is to be able to scale (need to handle more load) or downscale (oversized capacity, reduce costs) the infrastructure based on our usage:
Important factors:
- Hosts resources: CPU, memory, storage capacity
- Regions: Where the plan should be available
- Service: Custom settings ("max connections", ...)Nice to have: Extra I/O capacity for storage

How would you like to shape your plans? Meaning, what factors are most important to you and your workloads? This gets at 'what does flexibility mean to you'?
Also, do you want this flexibility from the start, and have more flexibility in terms of how the plans scale at each layer of the infrastructure, or that that you find yourself over-provisioning and spending too much.

We need to have flexible plans. Existing plans are too rigid
