An error occurred while saving the comment Jonathan De Jong commentedWe have some of our clients that have requested as part of our BCDR planning that we maintain full backups for longer than what is currently available. Some have requested as long as 180 days. It would be great if we had to classes of backup and the ability to have two thresholds that we could control
- Point-in-time Recovery days (this could be fixed based on the current plans for now)
- Full Backup Days -- these backups could be stored in S3 or other cloud storage and have longer restore times than the Point-in-time Recovery backups to decrease the cost of storageJonathan De Jong supported this idea · -

This would be huge! Ideally, you could have 1,2, or 3 PG Bouncer instances for varying levels of redundancy. It would be nice if you could select read nodes across multiple regions to include in the read pool as well.
