PG replication status through API

As a DBA
I want to monitor the PG replication status through API
so that I can know the replication status/log before promoting the replica
In addition, we a DRP process that will promote all our replicas to master through github action and we would like to know the status before promoting the replica

    As DBA
    I want to know the replication status by API
    so that I can monitot the replication lag before promoting a replica to master
    In addition, we have an automated process in our DRP that will promote all the replicas to masters if a region fails but I don't know the replication status as everything is done through Aiven's API and this information is not exposed
