Support OpenSearch 2.11
As a Developer running AI application on top of OpenSearch
I want to use OpenSearch 2.11 (current Aiven version, 2.8)
so that I can utilize new search capability comes with the latest OpenSearch version around Hybrid Search, Neural Search, post search processing

Thanks for the explanation and the underlying issue. Finally, the OpenSearch team released the bug fix 2.11.1 yesterday - https://opensearch.org/versions/opensearch-2-11-1.html - and we look forward to having this on Aiven soon.

Unfortunately, we are waiting for 2.11.1 which will be released in 1,2 weeks as we also encountered the same critical issue as described in here https://github.com/opensearch-project/OpenSearch/issues/10802 that will break the integration of logstash
The fix for the issue above will be included in 2.11.1

This is very high priority for us as well. OpenSearch 2.9, released in July, added vector search and support for OpenAI embedding. The entire world is moving towards use of AI, while the current Aiven hosted version does not support use of OpenAI embeddings - four months since release of this support by OpenSearch upstream team.
Amazon hosted OpenSearch marketing is actively promoting that they have Vector Search in their hosted version. Given the explosion of AI space, and lack of basic support for OpenAI embedding vectors in Aiven hosted version, may lead to customers doubting Aiven.

This is high on our priority list so we will expect Aiven for OpenSearch support OpenSearch 2.11 soonish
