In order to improve on my disaster recovery strategies and reduce the "read latency" since my read request will be routed to the Redis cluster that has a closest geographically location

As part of our effort to provide a viable, long-term and open source alternative for in-memory databases at Aiven following the Redis license changes earlier in 2024, Aiven started Aiven for Valkey and transitioned its development resources from Aiven for Caching/Redis to Aiven for Valkey.
As a result, this feature is now available in early availability on Aiven for Caching and Aiven for Valkey under the name "Aiven for Valkey/Caching - Read replicas" c.f. our Aiven documentation. We suggest using the feature on Aiven for Valkey if possible as this is the service we will continue to support in the future.
